introduction
Growing up in a small town, I was presented with many opportunities to express my outgoing character through a tight knit group of friends. I ended my senior year of high school with the same squad that I started kindergarten with. Graduating with a student body of less than two hundred people, it is easy to know everyone and be known by everyone. The transition between the tiny village to which I had grown very familiar, to a large college city such as Lexington, left me with many doubts and fears. After being at The University of Kentucky for a week, I have learned that even the biggest challenges can easily be faced if you have the right people surrounding you. Much like coming to a big city, I am excited to face the challenges of a college level writing course. Writing has always been my least favorite subject but I intend to conquer the challenges that I will face throughout this course. I would like to learn better writing technique and extend my vocabulary by the end of the semester.
